The present paper studies the phenomenon of dual predicates with the help of the text of the Hungarian National Corpus and a corpus collected by the author. It investigates the possible reasons of the expansion of the phenomenon using the results of a prevalence study after the introduction of the most important references. The study presents the proportion of a sort of structures containing the word kell beside the structures containing infinitive and dual predicates using a complex corpus containing written and spoken datas. The paper presents the differences between the inflection of the structures containing infinitive and dual predicates while searching for the reasons of the expansion of the phenomenon. It also engages in two common structures, the structure containing meg/el/azt kell mondjam and the structure containing imperative verb form and a substantive verb-auxiliary verb
