H. Tomesz, Tímea: Communicational knowledge transfer and skills development

Today’s generation currently studying at schools shows a significant difference compared to the previous ones in terms of socialization features, information and learning strategies. In my research, I examine the possibilities of transforming communication knowledge, what tools and methodology can be used in higher education with the aim of developping skills and knowledge. I am also interested in what can influence the motivation and involvement of students who study sports and how they acquire knowledge. My research focuses on 'What' ? (what kind of content, what kind of communication skills), on whom? (what kind of audience, can there be any difference between students studying different subjects ) and How? ( how different students can determine the methodology to be used.) Questionnaires were used to examine and draw possible conclusions regarding the subject of my research.

Kondor, Boglárka: Art in science: The art exhibition as an efficient popularisation method in the natural sciences

In this paper, a survey using a questionnaire and follow-up interviews is summarized about the role and importance of visual presentations, sounds, modern communication technologies in exhibitions. The author suggests methods of integrating learning in art and science disciplines with the presentation of art objects from Hungarian and European museums. The paper shows, how conventional presentation methods can be effectively utilised while modern technologies and applications are gaining ground; why the mood and the appearance of an exhibition is important; how we can establishe connection between art and science in the dissemination of knowledge and why traveling exhibitions are so important in the communication and dissemination of scientific knowledge. Ideas about the importance of multimedia applications, interactivity, visuality and interdisciplinarity are also shared.

Pölcz, Ádám: Classical rhetoric as the basis of language cultivation – Rhetoric-based examination of language issues

In the past decades violent attacks have contributed to the dissemination of language knowledge in Hungary traditionally called language cultivation. The main question was the existence of language cultivation. However, there was only little talk about the fact that this activity deals with constantly renewing problems and we have to look for its first guidelines well before our time (BC). Moreover, we had no database that would sum up language users’ issues. This paper is about to present the role of classical rhetoric in thinking about language skills and to find a place for language-use-problems in the rhetorical system. At the end of the paper, it is proven that the exact self-expression while talking is a basic human need that can not be ignored by linguistics and can not relegate the answers of language cultivation to the periphery of science – or even further.

Keywords: language cultivation, rhetoric, barbarism and solecism, language attitudes, dissemination of language knowledge

Papp, Melinda: Dissemination of the results of biomedical research at the University of Szeged by audiovisual tools

The purpose of this paper is to illustrate how the appropriate device and technique of media content for scientific dissemination helps to transfer the results of biomedical research. The first part of the study shows how the consciously used procedures of editing and cutting can serve the efficient transfer of information in the case of audiovisual content (introduction video, summary film about a scientific event, research portrait). Examples are based on the science communication of the Szeged Scientist Academy. In the second part, the author introduces some audiovisual tools which could be efficient for knowledge transfer and science popularization on an oral presentation.

Keywords: science communication, audiovisual tools, dissemination of scientific results, accuracy, distinctness
